更新！ updated!

約3年ぶりに Mac mini を更新しました！旧モデルはM1で2020年のLate ! 1TBモデルでした。先日 Mac mini hリニューアルして、M4を積んでサイズも小さくなったので購入してました。ただし予算の関係で512Gモデルへ、旧モデルはトレードインで下取りに。便利ですよね！自宅にいながら更新できました。

初見の感想は、ずいぶん小さい！ちょっと大袈裟ですが感覚的には1/4ぐらいになったような気がします。写真は iphone 15 と比較してみました。

CPU が3世代も変わったので劇的な変化！！？　いや、体感的にはすこし早くなったかな？ぐらいです。50インチのテレビに繋いでYouTube見るのが殆どなんでわかんないかもね？、本当は音楽制作用に購入したのですが‥　まぁいいか！t　と思いつつ、また音楽性作始められるといいな。

但し、小さくなったのは良いのですが、スイッチの位置が微妙です。なんと左奥の裏側！！なんです。前のモデルは右の奥の角の側面だったので、どちらも使いにくいんですよ。今はコースターを何枚か重ねて、その上に本体を置いてます。そうすると何とか指が入ります。

I updated my Mac mini for the first time in about 3 years! The old model was the M1, a late 2020! 1TB model. I recently purchased the Mac mini h, which was updated with the M4 and smaller in size. However, due to budgetary constraints, I switched to the 512G model and traded in the old model. It's convenient! I was able to update from the comfort of my own home.

My first impression was that it's so much smaller! It may be a bit of an exaggeration, but it feels like it's about 1/4 the size. The photo shows a comparison with the iPhone 15.

The CPU has changed three generations, so is this a dramatic change? Well, it feels a little faster, that's about it. I mostly watch YouTube on a 50-inch TV, so you might not notice it, but I actually bought it for music production... but I guess it's okay! I hope I can start making music again.

However, although it's smaller, the switch is in a tricky position. It's on the back left side! The previous model had it on the side of the back right corner, so it's hard to use either way. Now I stack a few coasters and place the device on top of them. That way I can get my finger in somehow.
